How we started
Founded in 2016, Flex Fitness Australia was created for locals by locals. Almost 5 years on Flex Fitness Australia is one of Wynnum's biggest group training facilities. With a massive emphasis on weights based training the team at Flex have crafted the special formula to get results.
At Flex Fitness Australia we believe in what we do and want to help as many people reach their goals as possible. We support our clients to make lasting and attainable lifestyle changes, we strive to create an environment that is encouraging, sociable and enjoyable for everyone, all whilst delivering life changing results.
Facilities at Flex
With state of the art equipment Flex is home to a massive indoor and under cover outdoor training area. With 7 cable pulley machines, 13 squat racks, 13 lifting platforms, 12 adjustable benches, over 900 kg of dumbbells (2kg - 40kg), medicine balls, kettle bells, power bags, weight plates and 3 lane sled track with 2 sleds. Flex Fitness Australia also has bag racks, showers, toilets and baby change table as well as a supplement and apparel shop.
We also have a gated unsupervised kids area besides the main gym floor. Bookings are essential for all children in the kids area in all classes. Children under the age of 1 do not need to be booked in for this service but are required to remain in their prams around the perimeter of the kids area.
This area is within eye sight for parents to be able to keep an eye on their children during class. It is the parents/guardians responsibility to assist their child if they become disruptive or distressed during this time.

Lizzie has always had a love for keeping herself healthy and fit by living an active lifestyle! You'll catch Lizzie around the gym either behind the front desk or even right next to you working out in the classes.
Qualifications: Bachelor of business, Cert III & IV in business, Cert III in business administration, Diploma of insurance broking, tier 1 & 2 in insurance broking, blue card, first aid, CPR
Gym Manager, Personal/Group Trainer
With a sporting background Rhys fell in love with training and what the body can do when worked correctly. He has been a PT for 7 years now and is more passionate each day. He believes in creating a better lifestyle for people so they can live their life to its full potential. He constantly is trying to learn more about fitness and health to help the clients and members he works with.
Qualifications: Cert III in fitness, Cert IV in fitness, Diploma of business, Diploma of leadership and management, first aid, CPR
Curtis is a fitness professional striving to help his clients reach their goals. Specialising in nutrition and training for fat loss and improved fitness and health, Curtis’ expertise and constant thirst for knowledge ensures that he leaves no stone unturned in his pursuit for producing results.
Qualifications: Cert III in fitness, Cert IV in fitness, advanced nutrition, blue card, first aid, CPR
Chelsea graduated university in 2017 where she found her passion for content creation. She is very up to date with all social media trends and loves creating exciting content. You will see Chelsea in your classes taking pictures and videos for our social channels and even working out right alongside you.
Qualifications: Bachelor of media and communications, Cert III sport and recreation, first aid, CPR
Since starting in the fitness industry in 2010, James has worked in group fitness centres, bootcamps, PT studios and corporate gyms.
He believes fitness is for everyone, and will always go the extra mile to not only ensure that everyone feels comfortable at Flex, but they get the best and safest workout possible too.
